Our owner’s professional journey began in 1996 and grew from car and bus upholstery to upholstering train and aircraft seats. Different shapes, materials and ways of using them brought a fresh understanding of measurement, pattern and finishing with each project.
The value of that experience lies not only in time, but in applying the same care across very different surfaces. Thinking about how fabric follows a shape, how a joint will look and what makes a difference in everyday use became part of the craft.

In 2020, our course turned towards the marine sector. Sun, salt, moisture and changing conditions brought a different perspective to upholstery. Existing pattern-making and application experience began to develop around the needs of life on the water.
Today in Marmaris, our work spans awnings, sprayhoods, biminis, mesh shading, winter cockpit enclosures and interior and exterior seating upholstery. Dinghy chaps, tender cushions, custom foam mattresses, towelling covers, fender covers, lazy bags and boat ceiling headlining complete the range. We pay attention to the boat’s lines and its owner’s daily routines, believing that a detail should make life aboard easier as well as look at home there.
For Derin Yacht, care is an approach that runs from the first conversation to the last finishing line. We value work shaped by understanding the need, with each boat considered on its own terms.
