Recognise two different needs
Not every additional layer over a cushion serves the same purpose. Towelling is a surface used while sitting or sunbathing. A protective weather cover goes over an unused area. Explaining when you intend to use the cover is a useful first step.
A fitted cover versus a loose towel
Cushion curves, backrest height and corners define a tailored cover. Edge retention and removal are part of that design. Our sunpad and cockpit examples can help you explain the arrangement on your own boat.
Ask about fibre content
Towelling does not describe one fibre or a universal care standard. Materials vary in content and weight. Pascal Bruno Marine also presents towelling as an option for custom boat covers; this does not imply identical washing conditions for every fabric.
Plan care around frequency of use
If covers will be removed often, discuss zips, elastic or other retaining edges. Follow the label and allow them to dry fully before refitting. Rather than leaving wet towelling on a cushion for an extended period, check both the upholstery beneath and the removable layer.
